Jannik Sinner failed to win the ATP Finals in Turin, defeated in straight sets by Novak Djokovic, at the end of a super week of tennis. At the on-court interview, Sinner thanked his team and all the people present at the PalaAlpitour in Turin, who incessantly supported him during all the ATP Finals. "Thank you all so much. You've won three Slams and now the ATP Finals, incredible. You are a source of inspiration for everyone who follows this sport and, above all, for us players. You always show your great professionalism. I also congratulate your team. Then I want to thank my team," said Sinner during the awards ceremony. "The last two or three months we have played many games and we have improved throughout the season. We were lucky enough to face great champions and today we understood that we can still improve a lot. We have to look at the positive things of the season. Now I'm a different player than I was at the beginning and it's thanks to you who help me. I thank the Federation, I didn't think I'd play this tournament so soon, perhaps the best of the year. Obviously I thank all the sponsors, ball boys and referees because they make the tournament so special. The Italian had a dream week, beating the Serbian for the first time in the second Round Robin match, becoming the only Italian in 54 years of history to reach the final of the Masters Tournament. But the final was something else: Djokovic - capable of immediately avenging the defeat suffered last Tuesday - left no escape for the Italian. But Sinner was the real protagonist of the week, because in Turin he transported his entire country into a new dimension to be re-created.
