Novak Djokovic celebrates 400 No. 1 weeks, leaves Roger Federer in the dust

A day after claiming his seventh ATP Finals crown, Novak Djokovic started his mindblowing 400th week as world no. 1! The Serb achieved an incredible record that will take some beating in the future, ruling the tennis world since the summer of 2011 like no one before him. At 36 and six months, Novak is eager to chase more records in 2024 despite having them all, showing his incredible will and desire that has guided him toward the GOAT status. When Roger Federer achieved his 310th week as world no. 1 in 2018, Novak stood on 223, recovering from an injury and returning to his best a few weeks later at Wimbledon. Djokovic passed Federer with incredible consistency and smashed the Swiss' record, taking it to uncharted territory where he should probably sail alone for good! Novak had been battling for the ATP throne with Carlos Alcaraz throughout the season, breaking the youngster's resistance at the US Open and cementing his status as the world's best player in Paris and Turin.

After missing two Majors in 2022, Novak was eager to show his A-game at this year's most notable events. He conquered three and lost the Wimbledon final to Carlos Alcaraz, standing at 24 Major crowns and leaving Rafael Nadal behind for good. Djokovic secured his tenth Australian Open crown over Stefanos Tsitsipas and slowed down a bit in the upcoming months, missing Indian Wells and Miami due to his vaccination status. Seeking his third Roland Garros crown, Novak took down Carlos Alcaraz and Casper Ruud, reaching the record-breaking 23rd Major trophy and cementing his GOAT status.
